[05:21.0]as you set out your stall and say that you're ready
[05:21.0]to wait for the pay-out on promises I never made.

[05:21.0]I don't know if we're speeding up or slowing down.

[05:21.0]I haven't got the answers now,
[05:21.0]it looks as though we've run aground.
[05:21.0]Better bring it on, get the motor running;
[05:21.0]surely we don't belong, but let's pretend anyway.
[05:21.0]So the story's gone wrong no-one saw it coming -
[05:21.0]moving along will we be moving away
[05:21.0]to another life where we might not be strangers?
[05:21.0]Might be husband and wife, might find our future assured?
[05:21.0]Time and tide that's enticed, none of that could change us.
[05:21.0]Oh but you don't think twice, just make up what's gone before.
[05:21.0]I don't know where that came from,
[05:21.0]a strange imagination's got
[05:21.0]a stranglehold on you.
[05:21.0]You talk as if you know me:
[05:21.0]in reality you haven't got
[05:21.0]the faintest clue.
[05:21.0]And now this narrative's exploding,
[05:21.0]through a merry dance your fantasies have sped.
[05:21.0]Still you say my words are in your heart forever:
[05:21.0]"I'll always love you....".
